Fettucine Alfredo

Last Sunday, I got to try Pizza Hut's pasta. GUESS WHAT! I loved it! Since I wasn't able to see a carbonara on the menu, I opted for the Fettucine Alfredo instead - and I made the right choice.

The thick creamy white sauce, bacon bits, herb, and the complementary garlic bread were superb! I think I'm in love! :)

Can't wait to try this out again!

Swimming Through The Static

Not at peace with myself
I keep in touch with the past that I love so much
Now I'm swimming through the static
I'm caught in a web of my own thoughts
And I can't help it - I'm still blinded by the traffic

I'm now a fan of Rizza Cabrera. ♥

Picture Perfect

Latest album from Every Avenue! Here's the tracklist:

1. For Always, Forever
2. Mindset
3. Tell Me I'm A Wreck
4. Picture Perfect
5. Happy The Hard Way
6. Girl Like That
7. Saying Goodbye

8. Finish What You Started
9. I Forgive You
10. The Story Left Untold
11. Clumsy Little Heart

The bold ones are my favorites but #5 gets me the most. After discovering them through their Shh. Just Go With It album, I must say that this band's really good and I MEAN IT. You gotta listen to this album and you'll know what I mean. I just wish these guys would tour Asia so they can go perform in the Philippines! I'd buy a ticket in a heartbeat!

Cute little foods

Warning: may cause sudden urge to eat, play and clench teeth. These cute stuffs will get the best of you. Severe cases are indicated by hallucination, mental incapacity and clapping of hands and screaming like a retard seal. :))

I don't know how they do it but it looks so much real! I want to try 'em out! It's called Konapun, a Japanese toy food that lets you experience the simulation of cooking. They have cakes, donuts, spaghettis, crepes, soft serve ice creams, rice, curry, french fries, takuyaki, tempura (my favorite) and more! I'm sure if these hit the Philippine shelves, it would be a blockbuster!

83-79 over Boston Celtics!

Due to classes yesterday I wasn't able to watch NBA finals - thank God RPN9 aired a replay today! Game 7 was actually the only game I've watched but boy, it sure was a cliffhanger! Celtics were really good till 3rd quarter but Lakers unleashed their prowess by the 4th. They were all amazing! Truly enjoyed the adrenaline rush of it all! Kobe Bryant, Ron Artest, Sasha Vujacic and Pau Gasol are my boys! ♥ Looking forward to next season!

Why did I miss this?

At the condo, rehashing about where I should've been tonight. I know, ATC.

She's got style

Watched The Devil Wears Prada again yesterday. This is one of the movies I don't get tired of watching over and over! Anne Hathaway (who plays Andrea Sachs) is ever so gorgeous, and Meryl Streep (Miranda Priestly) was brilliant! How could you just not love the magnificent apparel they wore? Anything fashion-related is an eye-candy for sure!

Here's a lookbook of what Anne sported in the movie!

Bookwrapping

Posted by Iris On 5:42 PM 0 comments

Someone from France requested these books from my inventory in Bookmooch. They're going a long way for a charity cause in Atlanta, Georgia called Books For Keeps. I started packing them this early morning and finished around 6am. Candy magazine pages, blue Japanese paper and plastic were used. I'm so excited to send them! Problem is, where should I pack it in - brown envelope wrapper or padded envelope (which will add weight thus postage)?

I have another book to send - Dear John by Nicholas Sparks - to Ireland.
Guess I'll start packing it now.

She sat on the lounge chair, her breaths deep and careful.
She blinked her eyes once and twice,
and smelled the aroma of anticipated rain hanging heavily in the air.
She wished it would pour: light, gentle - the kind that touches the cement
and creates a misty atmosphere.

Wonderful rain, magical rain oh how you heal my soul.

How come I didn't know Abe was a vampire hunter?

From the moment I saw this book in Powerbooks at Festival Mall Alabang, I knew I was mesmerized. Heartbeat said I am longing and wanting it in my shelves. Today must be my lucky day: one copy was available at Bookmooch; however it was also a big stroke of unfortunate luck after learning that the sender was from Australia and he could only send this book within his country.

I feel like somebody else today. The Bookworm is back.

PS: If you happen to be fascinated by the smell of physical books and the thought of reading it feels like almost heaven, then you're somebody else too. And I think you should check out my other blog.
